All-in On Diversity and Sustainability
My guiding values:
DIVERSITY
When it comes to creating a strong community, we need to consider every aspect; diversity applies not only to the flora and fauna but also to individuals within the community. That's why my prints, greeting cards, and stickers are proudly packaged in collaboration with students and teachers from Franklin County Developmental Disabilities. By involving them in the process, we not only ensure that each item is carefully prepared but also contributes to vocational training and personal growth of the students.
By promoting inclusivity and fostering growth, I seek to make a positive impact on the lives of these individuals and the community as a whole.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
At the heart of my business lies a deep commitment to sustainability. I print my artwork (in-house) on eco-friendly Fabriano watercolor paper (which is produced using hydroelectricity and solar energy, made with pulp from dedicated, sustainably harvested forests). I print the waterproof stickers myself- organizing them in such a way as to to minimize waste. Additionally, I source the shirts I sell from thrift stores and warehouse buyouts, saving the garments from a landfill. Each shirt is hand-printed, up-cycled, 100% cotton, and supports sustainable fashion.
Through these conscious choices, we seek to create beautiful art that both honors and protects our environment.
EDUCATION
With over a decade of experience as a naturalist, I'm dedicated to sharing my passion for the diversity and beauty of our environment. Through teaching a wide range of nature and art classes to all ages and abilities, I strive to inspire others to connect with and appreciate the intricacies of the natural world. My art highlights often-overlooked flora and fauna, while my life-size, lifelike stickers transform everyday items into educational tools, empowering educators and students alike.
Art has a unique ability to connect people and educate about the natural world in a way nothing else can.
